The Twelve Orders: Warriors

The king's legacy: 'Makers of fate, and those who move forward, he bound together and named as Warriors. That is, those who know when to fight, and when to stand aside.'

The warrior speaks: 'We strive for impeccability. Any warrior must be ready to fight, but some of us fight actively, while others are protectors or guardians. We are discreet, committed, disciplined and self-reliant. We may choose to follow a leader, but our deepest allegiance is to the principles underlying the causes we strive for. In the midst of conflict, we act in the instant, discerning good from evil, right from wrong.'

Warriors may fight a spiritual, physical or moral battle. Some examples we may recognise from history and contemporary times are:

  • Teutonic Knights
  • Shao-lin
  • Amnesty International
  • Salvation Army
  • Knights Templar
  • Suffragists
  • Greenpeace
  • Samurai
  • Hackers
  • Assassins
