The Twelve Orders: Explorers

The king's legacy: 'Those who lean towards the unknown, and those who travel through the known world were brought together and given free rein to explore where their enthusiasm led them. They are never satisfied with their discoveries, and are always hungry for more.'

The explorer reveals: 'Explorers go further; we travel towards the unknown with an open mind. We open up fresh territories which others will colonise. We must be prepared to go further than existing authority allows. We are generally individualists and often appear reckless to those who are governed by what is, rather than what may be. But every exploration has its consequences which must be faced. Obstacles are there to be overcome, both internally and externally, but there is no guarantee of success. This keeps us always sailing at the edge of the world. We are often amazed at how others behave with what we uncover.'

Explorers change the known world for everyone - the discovery of America, quantum physics and even experiment with hallucinogens has changed the human view for ever.
